Davis Announces Ranking Members for Subcommittees

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.), ranking member of the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee, has announced the Republican lineup for the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in the 110th Congress.

Rep. Christopher Shays of Connecticut will serve as Republican ranking member of the Subcommittee on National Security. Shays served as chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations during the 109th Congress.

He will be joined on the subcommittee by Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana, Rep. John McHugh of New York, Rep. Todd Platts of Pennsylvania, Rep. John Duncan of Tennessee, Rep. Michael Turner of Ohio, Rep. Kenny Marchant of Texas, Rep. Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia, Rep. Patrick McHenry of North Carolina and Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina.

Rep. Darrell Issa of California will serve as ranking member of the Subcommittee on Domestic Policy. Issa, who served as chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy and Resources in the 109th, will be joined by Burton, Shays, Rep. John Mica of Florida, Rep. Mark Souder of Indiana, Rep. Chris Cannon of Utah and Rep. Brian Bilbray of California.

Marchant will serve as ranking member on the Subcommittee on the Federal Workforce. He will be joined by McHugh, Mica, Issa and a member to be appointed shortly b y the Republican Steering Committee..

Bilbray will serve as ranking member on the Subcommittee on Government Management. He will be joined by Platts and Duncan.

Turner will serve as ranking member on the Subcommittee on Information Policy, where he will be joined by Cannon and the committee s new Republican member, William Sali of Idaho.
