Tour Requests

White House Tours

Our office assists the White House to facilitate tours of the White House for our constituents. We urge you to contact our office to make your request at least 1 month in advance of the desired dates.

These are the White House Tour guidelines as stated by the White House:

"Tours of the White House have been expanded to include parties of 10 or more people, regardless of age or type of group, through one’s Member of Congress. Tour requests must be submitted through one’s Member of Congress and will be accepted up to six months in advance. These self-guided group tours will be scheduled approximately one month before the requested date, from 7:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. Tuesday through Saturday."

Given these guidelines please fill out a tour request form and understand a few simple rules in order to request a tour through our office:

  1. Tours run about one half hour, and are available from 7:30 A.M to 12:30 P.M, Tuesday through Saturday.
  2. Tours must be requested at least six weeks in advance.
  3. Tour groups smaller than 10 will be grouped with other constituents.
  4. The White House will send us information regarding your requested tour one month prior to the requested date, and at that time we will contact you to convey the status of your tour. Until that time we do not know if your tour has been confirmed or denied. We receive confirmation 30 days prior to the requested tour date at the earliest.
  5. Security Information: If the White House does confirm your tour, we will contact you at that time and will need the personal information of everyone scheduled to go on the tour (social security number, date of birth, full name, country of citizenship, city and state of residence). Please have that information available.
  6. If you have special circumstances let us know when you request your tour. This includes anyone who may need a wheelchair or a walker, anyone with children less than one year of age, or hearing impaired individuals. While citizens are not permitted to bring their own strollers or wheelchairs on the tour, the White House does have wheelchairs available upon request.
  7. Please be advised that groups are eligible to receive only two tours per year.

Please be advised that our office only places the request for your tour. The White House makes all decisions about the time and date and retains the right to accept or deny the tour.

To improve your chances of receiving a tour the earlier you send in your request the higher the possibility of getting a tour.
